A Theatre Spirit.
I work in a theatre in Southampton, Hampshire. The theatre dates back to the early 1900's. Having worked there for the past 3 years I have often heard my colleagues talk amongst themselves about the ghost. One colleague in particular seems to be "open" to this sort of experience. We understand that the ghost, a lady, some how fell from the top of the building. Apparently, she "hangs out" in the Administration section of the building - a part I'd never visited, so it didn't really bother me. Thought I didn't disbelieve what others had told me, I had no fixed thoughts on the matter - until one evening, about 4 month's ago.

I was told that this ghost is only usually heard (but never seen) when the theatre is dark (i.e. no show on). This particular evening my colleague had returned from Administration and said, "ghostie is out tonight". The theatre had been dark about a week. I asked her to take me up to Administration, and she agreed. With a completely open mind - trying to put all my pre-conceived perceptions of what I might or might not experience to the back of my mind, we headed for Admin. Firstly, as we reached the top of the stairs, the temperature did seem to be cooler (but I wasn't sure if this was must my imagination or not?)

Once in Administration we moved about the office - half way along the room it hit me - it felt like static electricity all thought my body. It was so incredibly strong; the stubble on my face was tort and my body was covered with goose bumps. It was an amazing experience. It was very calming. It was a lovely evening, the sun was shining in through the windows and the office was bright and airy. Yet the feeling was so unique, absolutely indescribable. We both felt it and agreed that it was strongest in this one particular area. A few steps either side and it wasn't as strong, but it could still be felt. My colleague had hoped for me to hear her sing/or for her to make a noise (originally, she could often be heard singing in the ladies toilets).

We moved on to the Balcony of the theatre - the highest point. After wondering around for a few minutes, we didn't notice or feel anything unusual, so went back to Administration. The sun still filled the room, but there was no sign of the ghost. The unique "static like" feeling had gone; she'd obviously moved elsewhere in the theatre.
