Readers Stories A Time Slip Incident? I was working as a Police Officer at Skegness in Lincolnshire in the early 1980's. I was walking to work at about 1.20pm in the afternoon as I was due on shift at 2pm. As I took my usual route I looked to my left along Church Road towards the shops that were there. I noticed the Newsagent, an elderly chap in his late 60's early 70's, he came out of the shop looked left and right up then and down the road, then he tossed his cigarette end into the gutter and then turned round and walked back into the shop. When I got in to work, a colleague told me that there had been a fire in the early hours of the morning, the newsagents was gutted and the Newsagent was dead! It appears that he was allegedly drunk and had carelessly discarded a cigarette that had set fire to the shop. I have no explanation for what I saw that day but I have had other similar experiences throughout my life that I cannot explain and my mother has also had 'psychic' experiences.
Steve, from Lincolnshire.
