A Victorian Spirit Child.

This experience happened less than twelve months ago.

My wife and I were left in charge of selling the house of an elderly relative who had moved into a retirement home. A family who I will call Mr and Mrs 'X' purchased the house. They had a son aged 11 and a daughter about 13. After they moved, in much of the interior of the building was extensively altered to suit their requirements.

About twelve months later, we had a visit from Mrs 'X'. Who asked in a very polite but never the less very inquisitively manner, whether we had known if anyone had died in the house. We replied that there was no one known to us and that our relative had lived there for many years. We did however say that we would check with our elderly relation.

Mrs 'X' went on to say that her daughter had noticed that cuddly toys had changed places on their own and items in a Victorian style dolls house had been re-arranged. This had been going on for quite some time. At a later date the young girl had even seen an image. It was of a young girl about 12 years old. She had described the girl as having long hair, which was in ringlets. She was wearing a medium length layered dress and white socks that were ruffled around the top. She always knew when the girl was about because the room always went cold when she appeared. She was not scarred of this image but quite the opposite for it had apparently invited her to play with her toys on many occasions.

We followed up our investigation and totally to our surprise, we found that apparently back in 1900 or there about, the previous owners had had a few children. Unfortunately two children, a boy and a girl had died. We even found the families grave in the local cemetery. The girl had died at the early age of ten.

Mrs 'X' decided that although no one was actually scarred of this little girl. It was probably best to bring in a minister to bless the house and make it safe for the little girl to pass to the other-side where the rest of her family was no doubt waiting for her. To this day they have never experienced anything else.

I do believe this happened because the family had moved in from over fifty miles away and the initial experiences, were made by a young teenager who up to that point had never seen anything of this nature. Her description was perfect for a child wearing cloths of that era.
